Jaded

All I need,

Is what I can't get,

I wait for it to come true,

But nothing changes.

You'll never love me,

No matter now I try,

I'm no good, never will I...
Be yours.

Laying awake,

realizing I'm wasting time,

I need something real,

no fairy-tale,

I rip up your photo and try to forget.

All I need,

Is what I can't get,

I waited to long for it to come true,

Now, I'm jaded because of you.

This is an interesting piece. It certainly does not reflect a two-way street or bilateral relationship. Loves normally flows in opposite directions. I like the thought pattern and the essence of the poem. Great job and welcome to Poetry Soup! ~Joseph
