Jack and Jill's Mistake

Jack and Jill's Mistake
by Melanie D Palmer
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water
Jill forgot her pill, yet fooled around
Nine months later, had a baby daughter

Because of the one mistake they made
Taking care of the baby, took a lot of time
What were they going to do now
They had no money, not even a dime

Jack had taken responsibility
Got a job like he should
Jill took care of the baby
Same way you and I would

Jack later got on his knee
Proposed to his only true one
Jill said she definitely would
Got married under the beautiful sun

For every mistake we make
There's always a price to pay
Think before you go ahead
And have a baby today

Love the humour in the write but also it sends out a strong message about taking precautions and the consequences if you don't... often the relationships fail simply because they weren't ready to take on the responsibility of bringing up a child. Hugs Jan xx
