Jack

Jack

They Say a Man Only Dies Once.
It Is Something Done Strictly Alone.
No One Can Go with You
And it Is Not Something You Can Be Shown.

They Also Say You Won't Know When.
You Don't Get to Have a Say.
So When You and Your Dog Go on Patrol,
You Pray, "Please Lord, Not Today.

Sometimes You Think He Hears You,
Other Times You're Scared near Tears.
And If You Die While on Patrol
You Hope You Are Remembered for Years.

I Was Lucky and Came Home,
And I Was So Very Glad to Be Back,
But I Owe My Life to Prayer
And a German Shepard Named Jack.

He Took My Death Away from Me,,
So My Name Is Not on the Wall
I Will Never Forget My Dog Jack,
He Loved Me ...And for Me.....he Gave it All.
