I'Ve Something To Say and Now Even More

Many of you have been so nice with comments of sugar and spice but someone last night was a bit riled and chastised me as though I were a little child Treated me like a school girl, sent to a 'safe space' wanting me to dance at his words; a ballerina in lace or a puppet on his string. Well, I did no such thing! This dancer will never submit to any man's demand He's an ostrich whose big head is buried in sand He seems to be another glitch in the PS system They need a tech who knows how to fix 'em. I heard some people like to cause trouble I don't take orders from Mr. Rubble and I won't run scared of that guy no matter how hard he may try. Well, now I have yet another poet telling me I shouldn't get into an argument with someone over something that didn't concern me. Are we not able to comment on a poet's poem without being attacked by another? And isn't this new person getting involved over something that does not concern him? What kind of poetry site is this?

Pangie, you come blowing in like a breath of fresh air. The guys who think they're Macho material are really cowards clicking a keyboard. Thank you for the visit. You're always a welcomed guest.

I've been getting so little time to find my way to this site for the last three weeks for reading wonderful poems and writing a few but this expression of yours urged me to say something as a fellow poet who is still new here. Jenna, you are a wonderful poet. Please keep writing the way you do. I have received opinions from a few poets here in the last month which were not encouraging at all. I am sure you know you could stay true to your path. God bless you. Lots of love :)

I appreciate your kind concern, Aditi. It's not about my poetry, but rather a difference of opinion. It seems I'm being described as the aggressor, when in truth it's the other way around...but I'm resilient and will continue on my path. Thanks!

My god, ive been away for a few days and it seems the trolls are still about. Ive found there's more good folk on here than bad. Just ignore them Jenna, they're not worth the time of day. Hope you're OK. Tom

Good morning, Tom, and welcome back. I'm just fine, and you make friend #4 who's commented. I appreciate you for doing so. I'm ignoring both of them, and wondering why people who don't contribute poetry to a site for poets would be so obnoxious. I guess some have nothing better to do.

Jenna, it's good to see your mettle come out in this write. We've seen too many good poets and dear friends leave the site because of trolls dropping hand grenades. You are made of hardy fiber, and I'm very glad to see you stand up and say your piece.

Hi, John. Thank you for not being afraid to comment on my write. Over 80 views and 3 people are not afraid of commenting. I appreciate that. It's unusual for me to take such a stand, but I felt I had to do it. Trolls, huh? Aren't they the weird looking things that try to intimidate people at bridge crossings? HAHA That sounds about right.

Oh dearest Jenna, a girl after my own heart. I actually know what and who you are talking about as I commented right after you did. He is just a little mouse of a man scared of his own shadow. If someone else gives you a hard time that I don’t notice, just tell me there name. I know a certain bulldog

Thanks, Mark, but I've had my say in this poem with regard to him and the guy who sent the soup mail. I've no more time to deal with people like that. There are too many kind poets here to worry about such drivel

So sorry that you have had a run in with him so soon after being here. He likes to harass women. He doesn’t like girls, I think he’s partial to kangaroos

Oh Jenna I am sad you have received negative comments. I know you are relatively new to the site and may not be aware you can block people from commenting by clicking on the little eye symbol next to their name. You are a gifted writer don't be put off by negativity. Hugs Jan x

oh that is sad on so many levels Jenna:-( I have used the block feature - life can be tough enough on a personal level without having grief on soup which I always considered to be my safe haven:-) hugs jan xx

Thanks, Jan. It wasn't on anything I wrote, but on the poem of another. This person has an attitude problem. I know about blocking, but he's not worth the trouble.
