I've Lived My Entire Life In the Dark - Title By Steve Miller

I’ve lived my entire life in the dark
Never knowing what was around the bend.
My future would always seem pretty stark.
I never knew on whom I could depend.

My life was very different from yours,
That I can absolutely guarantee.
I never saw anything but closed doors.
But please don’t ever take pity on me.

Early on, I would try to get along
Simply by understanding my limits.
But my will power wasn’t very strong
And I felt trapped every, single minute.

Then one day, I learned that it could all change,
That I could live my life out of the dark.
This new world, to me, never felt strange.
All I needed was that one, little spark.
