Notes About The Poem

Take care Jan xxx

I'Ve Finally Discovered the Man of My Dreams

PLEASE READ MY COMMENTS 'ABOUT THIS POEM' POSTED ABOVE

Wow aren’t I a lucky lady, I’ve had a picture of the ‘man of my dreams’
I just had six on line messages from men I’ve never seen
The all have sent their picture they use a photo studio shot
Posing in their ‘military uniforms’ to try and prove they're hot

Gleaming white teeth and immaculate white suit
Gosh from their pictures they simply look so cute
Mmmmm ‘Officer and a Gentlemen’ he looks like Richard Gere
If I wasn’t a savvy lady my hubby he could fear

The next offer I couldn’t turn down was from a so called banker
Offering me riches beyond my wildest dreams he is a stupid prankster*
If I send him my bank details he will make very me rich
Don’t think I’ll take his kind offer I’m not a stupid witch*

I haven’t asked for their attention and I wish that it would cease
I just press the delete button, my bank account I don’t want fleeced
Yes I’m sure there are some really amazing people out there
But let common sense prevail, be aware and do take care

* I could think of other rhyming words to go here!

Jan my friend, This was a wonderfully crafted write. On a subject that is frightful and sad. The Gov't should implement a law, after these bad types get brought to justice (A lot escape thru the cracks) ones that get caught should wear a shirt for 3 years Wear it 24/7 Displaying the words HI I'M "Mr. RIF RAFF DO NOT TRUST ME. I got caught trying to scam" a deterrent to slow down these emails. Hugs Love and Peace, Deborah.

I've had 34 in total since I posted this Deborah - I didn't realise how bad the problem was - now I know - even had the same photo with 2 different names LOL. Why I'm being targeted heaven only knows - I get more mail form these 'men of my dreams' than I do my son ! Hugs as ever my lovely friend. Jan xxx

I couldn't believe the extent of the problem until i googled and so many vulnerable ladies are taken in by these scammers and send them many thousands of dollars and expensive gifts. In 5 days I've now received 28 mails - no idea why I'm being targeted but I report them straight away. Can see why people get taken in they seem very charming and have very 'sad' life stories usually about their late wives and kids and people will be taken in by this sadly. Hugs Janxxx

Thanks for dropping by Jack - I wouldn't use a banned word but am sure people can work out what I really mean to say without getting myself into trouble. Hugs Jan xxxx

No, you are not stupid, but there are many who fall for these schemes. Fraudsters there are many surfing the internet, and they don't do it for fun, but because they eventually get something out of it. // humour keeps spirits up:) // paul

I've been googling this scam Paul seem women are conned out of thousands of dollars by these guys and also given expensive gifts - now had 17 'contacts' in 5 days - now idea why I'm being targeted but sadly people still fall for it. Hugs Jan xx

So true Tim! Just had a spate of these pics over the last four days - think they must all be on some dating site or something. Such a shame the hunky 'General' sitting in front of the stars and stripes flag couldn't spell 'city' as he had greying hair lol. Hugs as ever my friend. Jan xxxxx

It's a scary world out there, Jan. I, too, am disconcerted that someone's asking for your account details. Well, out of your frustration came this poem which, I think, just proved you're the stronger person. Take care, Jan! Smack `em predators down!

Thanks for the wise words Jake - Every time I logged on past few days keep getting these on line messages. I ignore them but you can see why people get taken in and scammed. Hugs as ever my friend. Jan xxxxx
