Notes About The Poem
I always used this phrase "What you going to do, Its your decision!" That I wrote a song using it a long time ago. And used it throughout my life in my role as a Marine Leader, Coach and Mentor to thoughts I had the pleasure to cross path with. I always aligned my leadership style to building character and ones self-worth by expressing, taking responsibility for your action, making the right decision and doing the right thing. In 2014 I put the words to music beats that I produced.
Its Your Decision, What You Going To Do
The reality of life is
people will always judge you.
Be aware, but don’t live in fear.
You must love yourself
and know who you are.
That is the spark
that ignite one’s eternal flame for all to see,
that can’t be put out!
Unless you blow it out!
Ignite your spark
that is the start
to being who you are.
It’s your decision.
Now! It’s that feeling, from deep down inside.
it’s telling you, to make up your mind.
Listen to it; it’s on your side.
Listen to it; it’s there to guide.

What you going to do, it’s up to you
What you going to do, nobody can be you
What you going to do, you must choose
What you going to do, to stop being abused
What you going to do, start loving you
What you going to do, just be you
Now! It’s your time, make up your mind.
It’s up to you, to live life and shine.
Make your decisions and be yourself.
Don’t live your life, for nobody else.
