Its Worth the Joyful Sigh
Its worth the joyful sigh
Those warm and sleeping waters
Those familiar notes that murmurs
Those sparkling dews that glimmers
Upon the morning leaves of spring
Where the pleasant song birds sing
Upon the blooming trees of May
Cold and silvered with the spray
Of the soothing mist that rides
The fragrant breeze that glides
Across the vibrant fields and waters
Across the cautious hues that flutters
In the sultry light of morn.
Its worth the joyful sigh
To hear the nightly lullaby
Exuding from the lilac streams
Clothed with the starry beams
That wonders through the night
When lulling winds respite
While lonely roses raise their heads
Resplendent like the summer beds
Of lilies as they blow
Their tender echoes flow
Whispering through the breeze
Like languid humming bees
Ascending to the skies
Its worth the joyful sigh-
To watch the flower as it opens
It smiles joyful at the world
And when its season finally closes
Its blooming soul reposes
When autumn's days unfold.
(Nature is a beautiful
thing we get to
comprehend everyday.
We should be lucky to
have such things in our
lives. Drinking nature is
an unquenchable thirst.
There is a pleasure in
the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the
lonely shores
There is society where
non intrudes
By the deep sea, and
music in its roar
I love not man the less,
but nature more.
Lord Byron)
