Its What You Want

I have cradled broken glass,
seen metal twisted into a mass.
I have stared at an empty canvass,
looked deep into life's abyss.
I have cried in the arms of no one,
been here and come undone.
I have held my future in one hand,
lived in this body that is unmanned.
I have breathed in the air,
driven on the road leading to no where.
I have sat beneath the endless clock,
owned a treasure no one can unlock.
I have tasted the great fruit,
thought of something so minute.
I have spoken to a deaf crowd,
around me I formed a cloud.
I have observed the expressionless face,
now it is called the human race.
