For my habit there is no known cure I’m addicted; yes I’m certain, I’m sure I’ve had this issue for over seven years I’m in a happy place there are no tears I’ll grab my fix any time night or day It needles hubby, but it’s here to stay Many people have offered me good advice Helping me cope with comments so nice I’ve tried to stop, but can’t go cold turkey Because my addiction's writing poetry! *Poetic licence as my husband is very supportive of my writing Addiction Poetry Contest Sponsored by Rob Levasseur n/a in contest judged on 12/31/2020 12/28/28

As you've gracefully pointed out, not all addictions are bad!! Just like discriminating, addiction gets a bad rap! ~ He of the 'discriminating palate!'

Well i won't be rushing to get the covid vaccine until i know there are no side effects... i think my mother will be having it soon as they will be vaccinating people in care homes and care workers first when they roll out the programme on our island. Hugs jan xx

Hi Jan. I'm also an addict of verse. It is part of my trio: poetry, whisky, beer. They seem to go together. For my habit, I seek no cure. Best wishes for the new year. Tony.

Hi Jan, I’m glad your addiction turned out to be writing poetry, it doesn’t cause any damage, except for taking up so much of a poets time, I’m sure many husbands would object to that, lucky for you, yours doesn’t. Wish I knew the cure, I’m addicted too. A fantastic write for the contest... Hugs Belle :-)
