It's Time
Betrayed by someone,
you invested your life,
damages the soul,
cuts deeper than a knife.
With those fallen bricks,
and tears of time wasted,
the wall you construct,
no one dare face it.
With each new companion,
cracks they may form,
but a wall from that pain,
is not easily worn.
The years that will pass,
seem like moments apart.
Slow are the stitches,
that mend a broken heart.
There will come a time,
some years down the road.
The heart will be mended,
and the wall will erode.
And though it be scarred,
for love it still longs.
You must free your heart,
from its past of wrongs.
