It's Spring Again

It’s spring again,
and winter lost its icy grip
in fragments of some rusty snow
on shady mountain slopes.

And beds of flowers colouring the darkish green
of early meadows.
Some flowers send their heavy scent
across the daylight with its unspoilt power
illuminating pictures of an early summer.

Forgotten is the winter’s silence in its fading veil,
and birds are greeting every sunbeam with their unique songs.
And through the twigs and branches so they celebrate
their endless hymn of spring.

This is so lovely, filled with optimism and very gentle. A joy to read. Regards Heidie
