It's Out There

It’s out there; but I haven’t found it yet. Yes it’s out there; I’ll sit this table till my last bet. Yet here I am; one before you now. I feel the pain but I can’t cry; that river has run out. My heart is full of love; yet I haven’t seen it in the past. All this love I have to give; the love within me till my last breath. As I sit here and wait I’m patient; but my pen it sings the blues. I won’t try to fight these emotions; sometimes it’s good to work them through. I’ll keep chipping at the stone; this stone which I have to beat. I’ve been dragging it around with all these chains as I walk this lonely street. I’ll know when the times comes; practised words I know I’ll try to say. My surroundings will change as times moves on with the brightness of a new day. I’ll say “there you are; I knew our eyes would meet.” Then it will be all over for me as my heart will skip a beat.
