Notes About The Poem

It's Only Make Believe

In a land that dreams in dyes Whispering warmth with vibrant gold Breathing hope through lavender skies Blending delights into thrilling crimson Dancing passion with light azure highs In this land of flamboyant hues Nature came with happy oaks that glow Mysterious pines who enliven the muse Musical visions found in the tallest birch Singing a lullaby throughout the views In this land, with its kaleidoscope of peace Capturing hearts with satisfying insight Into the poetry that beckons to increase Rich and bubbly, singing a song Of enlightenment and the joy of release In this land where colors thrill The senses with miracles and wonders Promising charms that enrich and still All the vague dreams that have haunted The mind with its cryptic skill In this land where painted people perceives In colors that vibrate with rhythms that thrive Hasten to give back to the heart who believes A sense of inspiration, joy and peace Grace that gives harmony to those flamboyant leaves Fantasy with fictional beings Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Caren Krutsinger 163 words December 4, 2020
