Its Only a Shadow

A shadow walks right beside me
A dark cloud of what once was
Sometimes, it rest upon my hand
Sinking down, like quicksand
On the left another hand follows
This hand is not cold or hollow
Warmth and piece intertwine with me
And for a moment I walk free.
As the road becomes narrower
There only is room for two
Which side will fall away to darkness?
Which hand will lead me to the light?
