It's Not You

That is not your voice!

Stand back because there is no choice. 

For me to not hear these sounds. 

That seem to splatter on the grounds. 

Your voice is not normally so unhinged. 

Like the sound of snapping twigs, creeping up like a twinge. 

What I hear is not what you hear, you say?

You are only trying to pray?

I know you are somewhere near. 

But that strange voice is all I can hear.
