It's Not Enough 4-17-00

It’s not enough to have a dream-
unless I’m willing to pursue it.
It’s not enough to know what’s right-
unless I’m strong enough to do it.
It’s not enough to join a crowd-
                                         to be acknowledge and accepted.
I must be true to my ideas
even though I’m left out and rejected.
It’s not enough to learn to live-
unless I also learn to live.
It’s not enough to reach for love-
                                        unless I’m willing to give.
