It's Never All Good Or All Bad

Life is never 100% good, or 100% bad The ups and downs are as normal as breathing Going with the flow is pretty sound advice It's how I've been able to stay relatively sane all these years Each tragedy through life makes us stronger And makes us able to laugh at all the trials and tribulations If we could change things, most would opt for better control But the diversity is what makes us strong Sounds like a kind of “catch 22” situation doesn't it We must endure hardships to help us feel better by comparison It tells us that life is not always a bed of roses Which is evident by all the nasty stuff That continues to happen around the world But if we remain strong, the result is a better understanding Of what it takes to make it through this crazy old world I don't profess to have all the answers This is just my take on living a happy care free life I reiterate, life is never all good or all bad © Jack Ellison 2014

You have done it again my friend! You have made a spectacular write talking about something so critical in our lives, something we need to realize as important! I know all about this, the good and the bad. As they say, you must take the good with the bad! That is so very true! I really enjoyed reading this wondrous poem here this evening! You have definitely enlightened me with the power of your message here! I truly loved it! What a tremendous piece, Great Work!!

Today is the Best-est days ever. Dragon is doing his Happy Dance! We picked up Casey at the airport. He's home from basic training. Jan. 3rd He goes back to complete it and then specialty training. I'm finally getting used to him being in the military... But for now he's home! Move over Dragon! I want to join you in that happy dance... Joey comes home tomorrow from Nursing college. The puppies are dancing around like crazy, too. The cats think we're all crazy, but are lining up for some petting.

I love how you said if we never have hardships we would have nothing to compare. So much truth in all of this Jack.
