Its My Couch

I pissed my dog off today
He wouldn't listen to what I had to say
He didn't have to be such a grouch
I just wanted him off my couch

Why is he so mad, I didn't even holler
I just pulled on his collar
He was being such a jerk and wanted to fight
Snarled and growled and gave me a bite

We had one hell of a brawl
Across the floor and half way up the wall
I don't think I can take it anymore
He's on my couch while I'm sleeping on the floor!

Adorable poem, Timothy. Totally charming ~ last line - small suggestion to replace 'and' with 'while'.

Hello Timothy ... once a dog comes indoors, the house becomes a kennel and you drop in the pecking order. Best of luck Timothy - Lindsay

I have the same problem with my cat sometimes, but she usually gives in and shares "her spot" with me ... Keep up the good writing, Timothy. I enjoyed reading your work this afternoon!
