It's Laughter That Makes Children Smile

Spare the rod and spoil the child
disapline is not abuse
Yet laughter is your biggest friend
in life's great escapade my friend

It's laughter that makes children smile
creating friends makes life worth while
take your children to the park
it's good to rest and play

I pushed my son upon a swing
in front of him I would then stand
and let him kick and play
his giggles and his laughter

Would make a better day
Granted there are time's my friend
when children need your disapline
but yelling does not always work

Infact sometimes you waste your time
as children simply disregard
a wife that's always yelling hard
Respect they need to gain.

Oh the happy balance while raising a child, mine is three years old and I'm a stay at home mom, sometimes it is easier just to laugh than to scream :) thanks for the poem it was good to read
