No matter
What anyone else says
It's just the way it is
You and me babe
Your words come at me
Like a grenade
I duck
And dodge
To get away
From the rage
It shoots
Like a volcano's
Fiery blade
It's just the way it is

If words could kill
I'd be dead
But
The living lives
So I've read
It's not
About me
It's about you
What you're feeling
I'm feeling too
It's just the way it is
You and me babe
I feel your words
What more
