It's In My Blood
Within me is a river of red,
A river which flows through my parts,
Through peaks within my head,
Endless canals that leads to my heart,
The liquid hasten around my insides,
Keeping me warm,
It heals, breathes and provides,
Keeping me alive to weather all storm,
This blood has travelled from parts to parts,
Within time and bodies,
Crashing within minds and rushed from hearts,
Imprinting lessons and memories,
I am here and so was ones before me,
For how long I do not know,
But since the start, I think it should be.
Of the ancient rivers that flow,
From this burgundy fluid,
Lies a secret which we all know,
But our mind shuts to prove it,
Though killing just goes to show,
The architecture of which we are made,
We are siblings rather than enemies,
So why do we build hate,
From the external differences we see,
Look at me not by this foliage,
Never by how the wind blows,
But by the battles my heart wage,
For Love, in my blood, it flows.
