It's Humid Out

It's humid out, the world's annoyed
Polite folks swear, their nerves threadbare
No energy by noon or so
It's humid out, the world's annoyed
Exhausted now, you've labored so
Too much to bear, you sit and stare
It's humid out, the world's annoyed
Polite folks swear, their nerves threadbare

Yeah, ha-ha. It had been really humid for three days in Chicago prior to this write, and I just hate having to turn the air conditioner on, especially mid-September on. But to avoid grouchiness and lethargy (and to sleep soundly), I pretty much had no choice. Thanks, Brenda. Here's to low humidity. Cheers, Gershon

A well-done sing-song triolet...one that complains.

Hmm. I hadn't thought of this one as complaining. I've re-read it now, and I see your point. I don't know that the poem's worth is nullified, but it is concerning. Thanks for the heads-up. Appreciated. :) gw
