It's for the best

Yes I know
I've heard it all
It's for the best
That distant call 

But yet your ghost 
Still haunts me here
I've built the walls
Yet you're still there

But now I look back
Now I see
You were never present
Not there with me

And I returned 
Back to your need
Jumped into water
Fulfilled your greed

But here alone..
I see so clear
The fog you sent me
No longer here

We are Ethereal 
Temporary 
I've become immune
And you can't touch me

Seen then unseen 
Willingly used
A deceitful love
No longer moved

It was a pipedream 
Those years we had
 I look back
It was rotten, bad 

So I made the choice 
I walked away
I've left the feeling
I'll no longer stay 

I am the beautiful 
I am the strong
I let you go 
And I'll live..I'll live on

In the end 
I'll walk past your stone
In our own ways
We're both alone
