it’s been awhile
since I touched your face
memories linger
from you embrace
it’s been awhile
since we last kissed
no trace of you
left on my lips
it’s been awhile
since you said my name
whispered silence
now remains
it’s been awhile
since I held your heart
all evidence removed
with your departure
