It's a Time Like This

It's a time like this when I take a trip,
a mental one in which I am a child,
riding on a carousel without a care,
feeling the circular air blow in my hair.

The animals on the carousel beg me to ride,
I choose the one which is most colorful,
a horse with a red saddle and a blue body,
gives me a ride which is not shoddy.

Time on the carousel gives me relief
from the inconveniences of life I have lived,
being an adult has its ups and downs,
trying to forget the stife which drowns.

Being able to dream is a gift and releases stress. I rode the carousel with you Sonia. My steed was white with a purple saddle. Loved this! xxoo
