It's a Date

IT’S A DATE

I tried an on-line dating site to find a perfect mate.
I wasn’t getting younger, soon it would be too late.
I’d met with half a dozen but none of them seemed right
But I’d had great expectations of the one I met last night.
I sat there in the restaurant and watched as she drew near.
Alas, it was the woman that I’d divorced last year.
