It's a coming

There's a fire on the mountain And there's flooding down below Only those whom are sleeping Do not care for they don't know The desert sand's are drifting And dunes will soon disappear The scorpions and camels Are now moving far from here The ocean waves are rising And crash heavy on the shore All the beaches have been closed Life guards won't be back no more The choir no longer sings Those songs that once were so dear But since the church is empty There be no one left to hear The winds pound hard like hammers Leaving broken down old homes While gardens hold the remnants Of the children's favoured gnomes The streets have long been empty There's been silence for a while Mother Nature's been and gone And she left wearing a smile
