It Will Always Be Me

I so still shouldn’t feel this way for you I still shouldn’t want you as I do You’re still trying hard to get over her You feel like you’re standing alone down a dead one way street with no where to turn When someone puts their hand in the fire, expect to get burned I know, for I have been there in your shoes I have been left full of sorrow, pain, tossed away like yesterdays old news But we can, and will overcome Time to stop standing in that one spot, time to take of and run Sometimes it’s hard to see what’s always been right in front of you For if it was easy to see, it wouldn’t then mean so much in all we do You need to open your eyes and see whose who See people for whom and what they are from the inside And for once, put your own fears aside I stand on the side lines and watch as love has commanded you I’ve stood there as I watch that love pass you right on by I’ve been there waiting with and without the tears in my eyes So maybe you don’t think I still shouldn’t feel this way for you Maybe you think I still shouldn’t want you as I do But when you’re down and troubled all you ever have to do is call Even in the dead of night, it will never be a bother to listen to you at all Look around you, look also down that long dark tunnel Can you tell what you see? When the smoke clears When the light appears Who will be standing there still waiting for you? It will always be me

True love does have a way of hurting don't it. Try to speak up and let the other person know I think would be the best thing to do. Move beyond the friendship do not be afraid to try. Love, Carol
