It Was Just a Song

It was just a song,
 someone's rendition
of love gone wrong.

It strained on every note
 pausing tenderly at each stroke
of time as it was standing still
and the heart was empty and unfilled
with emotion and feelings killed.

Let it play
 in the background
of love filleted.
