"It Starts with a Kiss"

It starts with a kiss
the creative measure

body as 1

on point of entry
the sweet head kissed

a new life 
gently held

the roads traversed
can get bumpy 

between heaven 
and hell

from kiss to kiss to kiss

on departure 
we realise

It starts with a kiss 
goodbye

hello 
and we arrive 

again

It starts 
with a kiss 

we dreamt of this 

this life 
that starts with a kiss

Such a beautiful poem LL. So deeply profound. Wonderful, reflective thoughts. I love the way in which you’ve expressed the kiss at the start of a new life coming into the world with a loving welcome, throughout life’s journey and then finally a sad kiss goodbye to the ones you love as they depart and the process starts over again. So profound. Your thoughts are meaningful and deep.You are very talented.I love your quote ‘ the most beautiful things are not seen, but felt in the heart’.How true!

If only this was so in the current circumtances worldwide between warring religions, cultures and political states. That peace could be exchanged in such a kiss. Perhaps I am a "poet", because this scenario is the mountain high dream of a poet; whether it is achievable in this dimension, in our lifetime or that of our extended generations, is yet to be seen. Many believe it will never be achieved. My belief from years of research in all aspects of spirituality and many different religions, is that we were indeed given a choice before we entered this earthly realm - as to whether we wanted to be in this world or not; I believe, we chose to be here at this time. No doubt our foolhardishness, or courage would have been sent off with a kiss and reassurance of Love before we entered this world. Whether we received it or not on entry - for the most part is true, but for many not so fortunate, not so. If this was our choice, surely we are here to make a positive change or impact.

This life requires courage. The kiss and the LOVE is what we are searching for the most part of our earthly life's entirety, it is surely what we consider towards our exit, and upon exit and look for on entry again to wherever we came from before here. Thank you for the kind comment. XO
