It Seemed a Suitable Goodbye
strands of light. stranded light. strange, short, awkward breaths take over my lungs. shaking
like a leaf; two feet...away from what I'm ready to leave. this is not me. a timeline thrown off
course. a map with a series of paths followed; a series of paths ignored. Cycles on their way
to being broken. Habits on the verge of disappearance. Out of sight; out of mind.
Letters written too late. A perfect escape. The final breath it took to catch everything I've
chased. The loudest scream that nobody heard. the ignorance it takes to make the choices
you've made. the foolishness embraced on account of second chances. on account of
believing in something bigger than the mistakes. Bigger than your pride. (nothing is).
I hope your regret swallows you whole.
