It Is You Again
I knew someday I'd see you again.
Where did you go that summer night
After we had danced each dance
Lit by fire flies and pale moon light?
How could we have danced as strangers
And uttered not a word for hours?
Who understands the depth of new love,
And who can fathom its powers?
At midnight you turned and walked away,
And I was left to search for days.
I found no trace that you existed -
Gossip was strong of my strange ways.
Now here you are anew in my arms,
And I feel again that same flame.
Ah, but I will not falter again.
I'll not leave 'til I know your name.
