It Is Then
When the sky is dark and the moon bright,
the moths heading for heavenly lights
it is then I call your name
When the children sleep, and the mothers wait
for cold and tired fathers late
it is then I hear you knock
When the laughters quiet and the silence loud,
and the stray cats sing, strong and proud
It is then I feel your voice
when bodies lie and thought wander
dreams slipping like hands cupping water
It is then you are alive
