It Is Summer

IT IS SUMMER

            Appears tropical scorching summer
burning scalding searing heat to itch skin
strongly hits with hot humid hammer
             Angry ambient fiery to shine.

Sudden gust in blazing Sun, azure sky
Scorching heat is trapped and caught.
Whirling weepy wind goes hot dry.
Fields get cracked and yield draught.

Weary birds seek shadow, hardly dare to fly
take shelter in cool nest for rest.
To quench thirst Jacobin cuckoo to cry.
Eager farmer prays for rain to harvest.
