It Is So

with each gift of a son
responsibility to raise a good man
fell on me
and from the beginning
I opened them up to love
and emotion
tears and talking
communication and playing
I thought of the men they could be
and the woman that would love them
I knew how their father stood in this world
and my heart
was sure these gifts of sons were gifts from
God
so few men in this world are real
my job was to make it so
and it is so.

my 2nd child is a son, it is lovely to read this. My brothers were raised to respect all women like their sister. I will raise my son like this also!

It is my life's purpose, and work to bring boys to good men.

As a mother of sons.....this touched my heart....and for me..I am also so very lucky, .....because it is so. Truly lovely, Veronica.
