It Is Not An Evil World
Why does evil have to reside,
In our Beautiful World?
As it reaches out its talons,
Destruction becomes unfurled.
Fear spreads like wildfire,
Across our stunning land,
Tragedy striking,
Delivered by, evil’s cruel hand.
No remorse, no apologies,
Dealt with no shame in mind,
Deleting our tranquility,
Leaving us no peace to find.
Grief, despair,
Devastation and pain,
Evil’s wings of darkness spread,
For its own personal gain.
It is not the world that is evil,
Just those that live within,
Motivated by greed and power,
Committed to their sins.
We don’t want to just exist,
We shouldn’t have to fight,
We should be allowed to live our lives,
To enjoy the beauty of day and night.
Will our prayers be answered?
Will goodness once again prevail?
We stand side by side, vowing,
“We will not fail”.
