It Doesn’t Matter

It doesn't matter if it's green or blue All that matters is that I have you Black or white, red or yellow Whatever it takes to be your fellow I'll learn to read, I'll learn to write To send you letters, day and night Even if it means I must buy a bird I will do anything to give my word I'll find a mailman, I'll send a dog I'll float down a river attached to a log Whatever it takes to make you feel grand Or as good as I do when I hold your hand "A thousand miles seems pretty far But they've got planes and trains and cars I'd walk to you if I had no other way" -Plain White T's

Paul, Seems you write from a place that can't be qualified or quantified in syllabic count or metered rhythm. Where it came from doesn't matter as much as where it takes you on, forward. Hope you never lose it. -Richard
