It Doesn'T Have To Be Goodbye
You're entering the real world now
And you're acknowledging all your battles fought
And I stand with you when you say
It's kind of sad it was all for nought
But just because our friendship started within those walls
Doesn't mean it's got to be confined
Within those meager halls
Who says that with summer
There comes a goodbye?
Maybe for others
But must it be so for you and I
When we've barely begun our journey
Are you going to call a quits?
After all that time spent in room after room
Sharpening your wit
With summer there comes freedom
And the chance to do more
If we start our journey now
We'd have those months to explore
And then if you wish to say goodbye
Well I have faith we'll be okay
And for the next year we'll go through the same motions
Day after day
