It Could Be Jesus

When Jesus returns like a thief in the night, Will you know him, will you treat him right? A drug addict living in the street, A homeless man with no food to eat. An unwanted fetus flushed down the drain, A stranger stranded out in the rain. A man of a different culture, religion or race, A handicapped cripple that slows everyone's pace. A person with a.i.d.s., sick in the bed, A mental patient who wishes he was dead. A dirty lady with a bag in her hand, A foreigner from a distant land. A hungry child that you see on t.v., A person with an ugly deformity. A man broken down on his knees, Someone, anyone you see in need. No one knows what hour or what day, That Jesus will return or what he will say. Live a faithful life as well as you can, Give love and compassion to your fellow man.

This shakes us up and makes us look at our compassion meter. Well done, Timothy.

I wrote this, one of my first, and entered it in an online poetry contest. I was naïve. they told me I won and was a great writer. and I was thrilled. Turned out it was one of those fraud deals trying to get money. It turned me off on online poetry for many years. So I wrote them and put them up. One day I found this website and it has been good. Particularly because of good people like you. Thank you many times. I almost quite because of that ordeal.
