It Aches To Be Apart
When on my own I get the chance
to do just what I choose
I've got the time for song and dance
but I only sing the blues
'Cause what I learned right from the start
Is how it Aches to be apart
Sometimes it's fun to be alone
when I'm alone by choice
But now I'm always on the phone
enchanted by your voice
To hear you speak just thrills my heart
Because it aches to be apart
They say a man should learn to live
in solitude to get
The wisdom lonely hours can give
this may be true but yet
You just don't need to be that smart
To know it aches to be apart
