It

It

What is it?
Is it what it is?
It is it
It can be short or tall,
Thick or thin
With sections of all kinds
I enjoy it
It captures me
It makes me dream
There are heaps of its
It will shrivel if not cared for
It will grow if ignored
One bit of water and it is gone
It can’t be cold or can’t be in a storm
It is a mystery that no one will know
Will it be it forever?
It can be torn and stay sweet
What is it?
Is it dark and lonely?
Is it popular to those who know it?
It is one of a kind
It waits and waits and waits
What is it waiting for?
To only know what it can be
It hides so well
Innocent is what it can be
Deceitful is what it can be
What is it?
It is week but strong
It is tall but short
It can be neither wet nor cold
What is it?
It is mean but sweet
It can be torn and stay sweet
It waits for what no one knows
It is it
