Israel At War

Israel At War
God’s chosen people
God’s chosen nation
Promise down the ages 
From Abraham to Jerusalem.
Fall of tribes
From grace of God
Defeated, captured 
For disobedience and sin, 
Now they are beleaguered 
By Hamas and their kin.
Jericho fell: to the Covenant
For obeying God’s mighty Will,
Suffering, for misgivings
That angered Elohim.
But they will prevail
Against the wrath of those
That viciously kill and steal.
They must accept God;
His Son that died for all
Realise they must
That Christ was Son of God.
Israel is burning
Buildings bombed and shelled,
Women and children captured 
For wrongs of those that dared.
Cries of the bereaved
Heard in the distant hills,
While blazing burn the busy street
Wild cries, anger seethe.
Against Israel’s dominance!

Shells rocket across the sky 
Targeting home and business time,
Country raided to stand still
Wild anger, innocent lives kill.
