Isn'T It Sad
Isn't it sad?
when you finally know
that what you're looking for
isn't going to show?
Isn't it sad?
when it shows up alone
and you realize it's something
you've already known
Isn't it sad?
when it lays at your feet
but you're not content, or excited
cause you're on the wrong street?
Isn't it sad
when you're no longer driven
because what you have found
isn't worth what you've given?
when you die, all alone
defeated and mad
without purpose or legacy
oh, isn't it sad?
