Is This the Place

Is this the place?

The path I run is made of cobble stone
My feet hurt right up to the skeletal bone

Got to keep on running
The beat it keeps on drumming

I start to run and my knees ache as I moan
I have to think this time I’ll make it home

I know the sweat is coming
My heart is double thumping

Rhythm takes me and momentum makes me roam
I watch the fields of green as I run alone

Let’s get back to where the sun is shining
I know the road is long but the truth is always blinding

The past keeps up but the futures mine to only own
I ran and came to the place where I was never ever shown
Is this the place I belong to while forever dreaming a way to have known?
