Is this the end? Pt2

You promised me at least forty years
But not everything is as it appears
Your sickness has brought us to this day
Every moment in disarray

You have given up before ten
Downhill it goes not if but when
Your choices are limited and none work
A reality that we cannot shirk

I see your daily suffering and pain
Not enough to sustain
Can’t concentrate or absorb
Time is something we no longer afford

The system completely broke you
Not understanding what you’ve gone through
The wheels turn too slow
No empathy or woe

You’ve chosen to do this part alone
Are you done or going to disown
Waiting for the end
Or just trying to pretend

Being angry at the system does not help
Nor does screaming and yelp
Treated as a number not a human
Meanwhile we pray for a resolution

Your disappointment is palpable
Which is more than understandable
Your nausea controls your mood
But is the thing that will conclude

It hurts my heart to know you can’t do it
I can see in your eyes you are ready to submit
I am helpless in your journey
Or I’m just not worthy

Out of desperation you ready to quit
Leaving behind internal conflict
Five become four
When your soul goes to explore

One infection or virus could be the last
Please god make it fast
The suffering needs to end
But the fight should be commended
