Is This Hell

She is dead, someone said and I laughed to my gut.
Then I looked around and my foot was not in their world
I was now lavender, in a field of other lavenders. What?
The wind was a gentle breeze, especially swirled.

My vision of earth was clear. I could see my loved ones fine.
They did not see me anymore. Focused instead on my shell.
She was a beauty, I guess it was too many pills with wine?
I am here! I tried to scream at them. Possibly I am in hell?

Another stalk of lavender gave me a heads up about my situation.
It does not do any good, she communicated. Your time there is up.
The death train has come, you have left the earth-bound station.
I turned to my left and saw one tiny almost hidden lone buttercup.

Tis true, the buttercup assured me. You are a lavender queen.
But how can that be? I asked. I am a human. Is this hell?
The buttercup’s smile was the most incredible I’ve seen.
Oh no. She assured me. Now in heaven you dwell.
