Is My Call Important

As My hands go up in urgent prayer
‘the question I wonder ,is anyone there .

Waiting patiently and hoping for a reply
‘Is my call viewed as important ?
I ponder the reasons why .

My eyes are tightly shut
‘I’ll Tense just a little more
‘Maybe prostrating myself would help
‘So I lay me face down upon the floor .

Absence of words or spirit struck I’m starting to think they really don’t give a ...

I beat my chest and start to lament ‘
I shout my questions ,
I Start to vent .

Just send me a whisper ‘
a symbol that you may care
‘I need those lotto numbers Dam it
‘Please answer my prayer !

In my experience, people are fearful of calls. The excuse that it's a sales call won't fly. I loathe answering machines. A voice beats a text anytime. Panagiota

G'day Simon … absolutely brilliantly well done Simon. You took my focused mind to a dead end, and then I realized I missed the turnoff. How come psychics don't win the lotto every week? Thank you Simon - Lindsay

It would be my luck to have to share the winnings with ten thousand others. I won a crossword once when a small newspaper closed . We did get our $1 fee returned. Great poem posted at the right time. Regards David in NZ
