Is It All Just a Memory?

The past year – an episode
With the unforgettable days.
They seem to lose their glitter
And be only fading memories.

There was no herald and no sign
From any reliable source,
There was no warning, no guideline -
Things should take a different course…

There will be no epilogue,
And no “the end” and no tear,
And no return to the prologue -
No compassion for the reader…

And the stars will tell me nothing,
No-one will finish this story
For any fitting, right ending…
Is it all just a memory?
