Is He There With Me

I see him sometime come through the kitchen door, Sometimes standing looking over garden ledge, He wakes me some nights by appearing in dreams, Ever so often jolts me by his absence! Tense silence surrounds me without his laughter, How very much shall miss him from here after, Every thing in this house reminds me of him, Right from music to his chair in the corner! Even garden birds stop, scan for his presence, Waiting for a handful of seeds he would throw, Is it possible his soul lurks around me? Tenderly follows in everything I do? His mischievous self is capable of that? My mind still searches but my lonely heart knows, Eternal love and peace where ever he goes! 1st placement Written 30/11/2020 Nostalgia acrostic poetry contest Line Gauthier sponsored 15 lines, 11 syllables each PS syllable counter
